FOO FIGHTERS AND THE HAWKINS FAMILY WILL UNITE TO HOST TWO CELEBRATIONS OF THE LIFE AND MUSIC OF THE LATE, GREAT TAYLOR HAWKINS
The world lost a modern legend on March 25th, when Foo Fighters drummer and all-round awesome guy Taylor Hawkins sadly passed away. Now, Foo Fighters have announced that alongside the drummer’s family, they will be hosting two tribute concerts.
Though we’re still awaiting confirmation of exactly who will appear at the concerts, according to the press release the night will see his bandmates and inspirations “playing the songs that he fell in love with, and the ones he brought to life.”
The all-star tribute shows will take place at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 3rd and at the LA Kia Forum on September 27th.

Taylor sadly passed away on the evening of March 25th in Bogotá in Columbia, the day before Foo Fighters were due to perform at the Estéreo Picnic festival.
In a statement released on social media at the time, the band said, “The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins.”
“His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.”
Taylor’s passing really shook the musical world, and we are sure that these concerts will be an incredibly powerful, moving, and magical tribute to one of the greatest drummers in music history. RIP Taylor.
