Jamie Cullum and the 606 Club’s Musical Legacy

Long before Jamie Cullum became one of the UK’s most successful internationally acclaimed musicians, he played some of his earliest London performances at the 606 Club. His connection with the Chelsea venue is one example of the Club’s long-standing role in supporting exceptional talent.

Cullum has described the 606 Club as the “Best Live Music Venue in London,” a tribute that reflects the high regard in which the venue is held by performers as well as audiences. Over the years, the Club has welcomed both emerging musicians and established artists, creating a space where careers could develop and live music could be celebrated.

The Club’s history also includes appearances by artists such as Claire Martin, Julian Joseph, Ian Shaw, Jason Rebello, Jeremy Stacey, Liane Carroll, Jim Mullen and Hamish Stuart. Its reputation has been built not on spectacle, but on musicianship, atmosphere and consistency.

As the 606 Club reaches its 50th anniversary in 2026, its legacy is closely tied to the artists who have passed through its doors. The celebrations taking place throughout October 2026 will honour five decades of performances, friendships and musical discovery.
