The 2025 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards wrapped up at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium and Exposition Hall, paving the way for the biggest award show of the year, the Oscars, next week. Hosted by Kristen Bell, star of Nobody Wants This and a SAG nominee, the event was presented by Audi and streamed on Netflix.

Key Winners of the SAG Night
In the television categories, Shōgun had a standout night, winning multiple awards. Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai earned individual honors, and the series took home the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Additionally, the show’s stunt performers won in their category.
Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series: Shōgun – WINNER
Only Murders In The Building also shone brightly, winning the Best Comedy Ensemble Award and an individual award for Martin Short, who was absent from the ceremony due to Covid.
In film, no project swept the night. Timothée Chalamet won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for A Complete Unknown, while Demi Moore took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for The Substance. Conclave won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
The highlight of the night was the lifetime achievement award presented to Jane Fonda. Her passionate speech called on the acting community to lead with “empathy.”
