Having witnessed numerous artists shine on The Voice Italy stage, Alex Uhlmann is now preparing to launch his debut solo album HOME on 06/09/24. Leading the way is the single Fading Away, complemented by a poignant music video directed by Nico Malaspina, due for release on 20/09/24. The video captures a young dancer’s quest to rediscover the joy of her early performances, set to the haunting vocals of Alex and a dynamic fusion of contemporary hip-hop beats and classical strings.
Fading Away, a downtempo single, interweaves different eras while the video showcases the poignant story of Ukrainian ballet dancer Irina Hordiienko. Invited to a two-week stage in Milan by the Ukrainian Academy of Ballet in February 2022, Irina and her mother remain stranded in Italy due to the commencement of the war in Ukraine, unable to return home to their family.
Despite being a newcomer to the solo scene, Alex Uhlmann boasts an impressive resume filled with musical accomplishments. With a strong European influence in his sound, Uhlmann has garnered recognition from Rolling Stone Magazine, secured placements on MTV Germany and MTV Italia playlists, and even supported One Republic live. His upcoming release, “HOME,” promises to blend the classic club sound with introspective themes, offering a unique dance experience.
